About the Summit

A platform for India's energy security agenda

India stands at a defining moment in its energy journey. Geopolitical volatility, supply chain disruptions, and the West Asia crisis have sharpened the strategic imperative of long-term energy self-sufficiency. For a nation of India's scale, dependence on imported energy is not merely an economic risk โ€” it is a sovereign vulnerability.

The Government has responded with resolve, opening pathways across bioenergy, ethanol blending, coal gasification, green hydrogen, sustainable aviation fuel, and nuclear energy โ€” collectively constituting India's strategic energy doctrine for the 21st century. ICS 2026 brings together policymakers, industry leaders, technology providers, investors, financial institutions, R&D institutions and international experts to assess progress and accelerate ground-level outcomes through technology transfer, joint ventures, strategic partnerships and robust safety frameworks.

Deliberations will culminate in concrete recommendations, a policy document, an investment opportunity compendium, and a technology & collaboration register โ€” submitted to relevant Ministries and Government agencies for expedited action.

Thematic Pillars

Five pillars of India's energy doctrine

The Summit's technical sessions are anchored around five interlinked pillars shaping India's path to energy self-sufficiency.

01

Bioethanol & Bioeconomy

Biorefineries, biofuels, bio-ethylene and Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) as strategic pillars transforming transport, aviation, shipping and chemicals.

02

Coal Gasification

Converting India's vast domestic coal reserves into syngas, hydrogen, methanol, DME, ammonia and SNG โ€” including UCG and carbon capture (CCU) integration.

03

SMRs & Nuclear Energy

The SHANTI Act opens nuclear to private participation. Small Modular Reactors via the indigenous thorium route for industrial heat, desalination and hydrogen.

04

Process Safety & "Agni Kawach"

An AI-enabled CFD process safety and indigenous risk-modelling platform by Indrax, moving industry from reactive compliance to predictive safety management.
